DoubleClick Hires 2 Privacy Advisors:

Amid heightened criticism and scrutiny from privacy groups and regulators, online advertising giant DoubleClick Inc. said it has hired two prominent New York consumer advocates to spearhead its online privacy efforts. New York-based DoubleClick appointed Jules Polonetsky, consumer affairs commissioner under New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, as chief privacy officer and appointed Bob Abrams, former New York state attorney general, as chairman of its privacy advisory board.
