Viva Bakery in Atwater Village is stocked with Cuban, Peruvian and Guatemalan baked goods, plus Peruvian tamales, which are a shade different from Mexican and Central American tamales. The corn masa is well seasoned, even meaty tasting, and tinted light orange. Chicken, hard-boiled egg and black olives are tucked inside. It's a nice package, wrapped in foil and ready to go.
