Future Media Productions Inc., a manufacturer of compact discs, will seek to raise as much as $70 million through an initial public offering. The Valencia-based company was started in 1994 by the three co-founders of Packard Bell NEC Inc. The three are Jason Barzilay, Beny Alagem and Alex Sandel, who is president of the company. Future Media filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell common stock and will disclose the number of shares to be sold and their price in a later filing. The company originally filed in September 1998 for an IPO that would have raised $41 million, but withdrew that stock sale because of market conditions.
