Oxnard 7, Rio Mesa 4--Nick Marshall had two triples and a home run, and Matt Adams struck out nine and gave up two hits in six innings for the Yellowjackets (4-1, 2-0) in a Pacific View League game at Oxnard.

Frank Tinoco had a three-run home run for Rio Mesa (3-4, 0-2).

Thousand Oaks 18, Newbury Park 6--Matt Brown and Brent Schilhab hit three-run home runs and Chris Cordeiro had a solo homer for the Lancers (6-1, 2-0) in a Marmonte League game at Newbury Park..

Jared Buckley had two hits for Newbury Park (4-2, 1-1).

Crespi 1, St. Francis 1--Clint Kofmehl struck out 11 and gave up one earned run in seven innings for the Celts but the Mission League game was halted by darkness after 10 innings at Crespi.

Dale Legaspi had three strikeouts and no walks in three innings in relief of Kofmehl for Crespi (5-0-1, 1-0-1).

Errol Simonitsch of St. Francis gave up one unearned run with seven strikeouts in seven innings.

Chaminade 6, Loyola 4--Mike Nesbit singled home Justin Shore with the winning run in the sixth inning in a Mission League game at Loyola (2-5, 0-2).

Sean Clark struck out five and gave up only one hit in three innings for the Eagles (5-1, 2-0).

Camarillo 15, Hueneme 2--Jacob Medina hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs for the Scorpions (5-2, 2-0) in a Pacific View League game at Hueneme (2-5, 0-2).

Moorpark 6, Simi Valley 2--David Burckin had three hits and Chris Nealon had two, including a two-run home run, for the Musketeers (6-1, 1-0) in a Marmonte League victory at Moorpark.

John Day and Brandon Palomarez each had two hits for Simi Valley (3-4, 0-2).

Quartz Hill 4, Littlerock 3--Carlos Burkhart's run-scoring single in the seventh gave the Rebels (5-2, 1-0) a Golden League victory at Quartz Hill.

Matt Lopez and Gavin Brandon were intentionally walked to get to Burkhart. Brandon had a two-run double and Lopez singled and doubled.

Valencia 3, Saugus 2--Jeff Green drove in the decisive run with a ground out in the sixth inning of a Foothill League game at Valencia.

Jacob Sheffield hit a two-run double in the second for Valencia (5-0, 1-0).

Green (3-0) pitched six-plus innings, striking out seven, before giving way to Richie Martin, who picked up his first save.

Burroughs 15, Burbank 2--Mike Silva hit a grand slam and Tim Murphy added a three run homer in a Foothill League victory at Burbank (1-5, 0-1).

Mike Yfais pitched a five-hitter and struck out six for Burroughs (3-3, 1-0).

Notre Dame 21, Harvard-Westlake 6--Chris Dickerson hit a three-run home run, his sixth of the season, in an 11-run third inning of a Mission League game called in the fifth because of the 10-run rule at Notre Dame.

James Rivero hit a grand slam for Notre Dame (4-3, 2-0).

Calabasas 10, Santa Clara 1--Randy Curtis had three hits and two RBIs, and Justin Segal had three hits for the Coyotes in a Frontier League opener at Santa Clara.

Segal (1-1) allowed four hits and one earned run and struck out six in six innings for Calabasas (5-1-1).
