If you're among the reported one in 10 Internet-savvy people who make their airline reservations online, you know how important it is to have the official airport code when booking flights. These cryptic three-letter aliases also appear on tags attached to your luggage. Some codes make sense, such as JFK for John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.
