EMemories Site Offers Free Film Processing

March 20, 2000|KAREN KAPLAN

EMemories, the Web site designed to let users share photos with friends and family over the Internet, will raise the bar in the online photo industry with its introduction today of free film processing. Customers who mail their 35mm film to EMemories can see their pictures online on a password-protected Web site. Customers can then pay for prints on traditional photo paper, which the Santa Monica firm will deliver in about a week. EMemories is one of the first photo-sharing Web sites to offer free film processing, but many are expected to follow suit in the coming months.
