The Internet world has joined the professional tennis tour for the first time.
Estyle Inc., which sells a series of women's products on various Web sites originating on http://www.estyle.com will be announced today as the title sponsor for the Manhattan Beach women's tour event Aug. 7-13.
This will be the 30th year of the tournament, which is played at the Manhattan Country Club. Last year's Manhattan Beach event, a Women's Tennis Assn. Tier II event, was won by Serena Williams.
This marks the first time an Internet company has become a presenting sponsor for either a men's or women's tournament.
