The city has four weeks to review development plans to remodel the historic Dana Villa Motor Inn.

The plans, submitted by city consultants last week, call for the hotel to be converted into a 25-room bed and breakfast with a library, meeting room, garden area and swimming pool.

The hotel originally had 44 rooms and 19 garages. It was the first hotel in Dana Point, according to Sara Pashalides, a city planning consultant.
