Iris Festival--The Japanese Iris Festival is being held today and Sunday at the Arboretum of Los Angeles County, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, (626) 821-3222. The location listed Thursday in the Garden Calendar was incorrect.

* The Japanese Iris Festival, which celebrates the new iris garden with talks on these big flowers, plus many Japanese cultural activities, Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Descanso Gardens, 1418 Descanso Drive, La Can~ada Flintridge, (818) 952-4401 (http://www.descanso.com). $5.

* An orchid festival, with blooming plants on view and for sale, plus related garden events and merchandise, Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Huntington Botanical Gardens, 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, (626) 405-2141 (http://www.huntington.org). $8.50.

* A tour of four Westside gardens put on by the Friends of Robinson Gardens--which includes a catered luncheon on the garden's grounds and vendors on the tennis court--is May 19 at this county garden in Beverly Hills. Because it is in a residential neighborhood, the event is by invitation only, though invitations will be sent by calling (310) 276-5367, Ext. 103. The cost is $150. Normally the garden is only open for midweek tours, which must be reserved by calling the same number.
