Sierra Forests

May 14, 2000

* Chris Nance of the California Forestry Assn. is right ("U.S. Unveils Plan to Manage Sierra Forests," May 3). There is "too much wood in the woods." There's also too much sand at the beach. And too much blue in the sky. And what can we do about how wet the rivers are? I'm glad we have folks like him to fix nature for us and put roads through the deserts where I can comfortably drive my SUV without spilling my Frappuccino.
