Mexico Holidays today begins once-a-week nonstop air service via American Trans Air between LAX and Cancun, Mexico, on Sundays. It is the only scheduled nonstop service between the two cities, a spokeswoman said. The air fare must be bought as a package with car rental (starting at $543 per person for one week) or with lodging. Tel. (800) 448-3333. . . . Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, this weekend opened what it claims is the world's tallest roller coaster, the 310-foot-high Millennium Force.
