Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women needs crisis intervention counselors. The next training session begins in June. The commission provides individual counseling, support groups and a 24-hour hotline for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and stalking. Latinas, African American women and Pacific Asian women are encouraged to apply, especially bilingual speakers. Information: (626) 585-9166.

* Valley Trauma Center needs volunteers to provide crisis counseling to survivors of sexual assault in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando valleys. Next training session begins in June. Information: (661) 253-1772.

* Stroke Assn. of Southern California needs volunteers to staff booths at health fairs, give community presentations, provide information and referrals on telephone hotlines, and mail out literature packets. Information: (310) 575-1699.

* Traumatic Brain Injury Social Network, a support group for brain injury survivors and caregivers, needs volunteers to assist with a variety of fund-raising activities, such as mailing solicitation letters and making follow-up calls. Information: (310) 397-8988.
