The oil cartel's March agreement to boost production continued to help at the pump, as the average price of gasoline in Southern California dropped 9.5 cents in one month, to $1.662 for a gallon of self-serve regular, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California. The club's monthly Fuel Gauge Report, released Tuesday, is based on a survey of 2,800 gas stations.
