'Mission' Possible: Hot Soundtrack Bumps Off 'N Sync

May 20, 2000|RICHARD CROMELIN

'N Sync may be an immovable object at the top of the national sales chart, but in Southern California the group keeps getting knocked off by harder stuff. A few weeks ago it was Cypress Hill, and now the soundtrack from "M:I-2" (popularly known as "Mission: Impossible-2") has bumped the boys from No. 1. The aggressive hard-rock collection includes songs by Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Rob Zombie and others.
