Pasadena's Historic Highlands Tour Will Cover Craftsman, Other Styles

May 21, 2000

The Historic Highlands Neighborhood Assn. will hold its sixth annual home tour in Pasadena from noon to 4 p.m. on May 28.

Homes featured on the tour include a California Craftsman, a Greek Revival cottage and a Spanish Colonial Revival home. The homes were chosen as examples of the extensive remodeling that's taken place in the last few years in the city's Historic Highlands.

The Pasadena Highlands is an area bounded by Washington Boulevard on the south, New York Drive on the north, Lake Avenue on the west and Hill Avenue on the east.

Local artists will display works during the tour, and a box lunch will be available. Tickets are $12.50 in advance and $15 on the day of the tour, and can be purchased by calling the Historic Highlands Neighborhood Newsline at (626) 797-1910.

Proceeds from the tour will benefit local elementary schools and neighborhood beautification projects.
