Reward Offered in Death of Man Fighting Graffiti

PACOIMA — Los Angeles police announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who gunned down a man who confronted graffiti vandals on Easter Sunday.

Liborio Medina, a 56-year-old father of seven, was fatally wounded April 23 shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Desmond Street near Tamarack Avenue.

Police said Medina was moving his vehicle on street cleaning day, when he noticed suspects tagging his wall. The suspects then approached Medina and shot him.

Los Angeles City Council authorized the award. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Det. Chuck Lenane of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill division at: (818) 834-3105.
