If the Lakers, Clippers and Sparks aren't enough, another pro basketball team could play in the Los Angeles area in 2001.
ABA 2000, a proposed revival of the American Basketball Assn. and its red, white and blue ball, hopes to start play in November in nine U.S. cities. Bobby Roberts and Mike Selsman of Millennium Multimedia, a Beverly Hills entertainment company, have reserved the nickname L.A. Stars for a franchise that could join the new ABA in 2001, perhaps playing at the Forum.
