ANTIOCH--Livestock, carnival rides and entertainment will be part of the Contra Costa County Fair May 31-June 4. Antioch Fairgrounds. 1-11 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. June 2-4. $6; $3 seniors and 12 and under. Seniors free on June 1; kids free on June 2. (925) 757-4400.

BEAUMONT--Celebrate the harvest season at this Inland Empire town's Cherry Festival June 1-4. Activities include a four-day carnival and a parade (10 a.m. June 3). 5-10 p.m. June 1; 5 p.m-midnight June 2; 10 a.m.-midnight June 3; noon-9 p.m. June 4. Stewart Park. Free. (909) 845-9541.

SUTTER CREEK--Originally organized 119 years ago to benefit the families of miners killed on the job, the Italian Picnic and Parade takes place June 2-4. Festivities include a parade (10 a.m. June 4). 10 a.m.-1 a.m. each day. Ridge Road and California Highway 49. Free. (800) 400-0305.

CRESCENT CITY--On June 3 this town celebrates the Crescent City Bay Blues Festival--Blues, Brews and Bayou. Several blues bands and about 18 microbreweries will participate. Del Norte Fairgrounds. $18; $15 ages 2-12. (707) 464-1336.

QUINCY--Hula-Hoop and yo-yo contests are part of the Graffiti Night and Old-Fashioned Picnic June 2-3. There will be a car show outside Stoney's Country Burger, 11 Lindan Ave., 5-10 p.m. June 2. The picnic will take place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 3, at Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds. Both events are free. (530) 283-6272.
