Kids, today is the last day for Poetry Corner. More than 1,000 poems were sent to the Kids' Reading Room. There were many, many good ones. Here are some resources to help you learn more about writing and publishing poems.

* Giggle Poetry (http://www.gigglepoetry.com). A Web site filled with humorous children's poems, contests and helpful information.

* KidNews (http://www.kidnews.com). All kinds of writing by kids from all over the world. An interactive feature allows you to submit your writing to KidNews for publication.

* "Kids' Poems" by Regie Routman. A series of four different guides for educators and parents aimed at helping kids learn to love poetry. Each book is tailored for a specific grade level: kindergartners, first-graders, second-graders, and third- fourth-graders. Published by Scholastic Professional Books, a division of Scholastic Inc.

* Poetry Writing With Jack Prelutsky (http://teacher.scholastic.com/writewit/

poetwit/index.htm). Work step-by-step with the popular children's poet Jack Prelutsky as you learn how to write, revise and publish your poems.

* Real Kids, Real Adventures (http://realkids.com). A one-stop Web site that helps you with all kinds of writing, gives tips for getting started and provides information on how to get published.
