Do-All Dressings

November 01, 2000

A salad dressing that does it all--that's the best kind to have on hand. These ginger and wasabi dressings are great for salads and marinades, or as basting sauces for seafood and poultry dishes. The wasabi dressing, made with fresh grated wasabi, is a terrific dipping sauce for sushi.

Ginger and wasabi salad dressings by AFC Corp., 10.6-ounce bottle, $4.50 from Pavilions and select Wild Oats stores. Or order on the Internet at http://www.afcsushi.com.

Titanic Towels

These oversize towels are made in France of 100% cotton. Each has a loop tag for easy hanging. They come in assorted colors and patterns, but the oversize knife and fork pattern caught our eye. Yes, you can use them as towels, but why not frame one? Or use two to make kitchen curtains.

Towels, $13 from the California School of Culinary Arts Campus Cookstore, 561 E. Green St., Pasadena. (626) 683-1354.
