Terrell Vinson ran all over the Capistrano Valley defense to lead Dana Hills to a 35-21 South Coast League victory Friday.

Vinson rushed for 200 yards in 26 carries and scored four touchdowns.

Dana Hills got on the board first with 1:44 remaining in the first quarter when quarterback Steve Vierra connected with Brian Weber for a 15-yard touchdown pass.

The Dolphins (3-6, 2-2) extended the lead to 14-0 in the second quarter when Vinson capped a 32-yard drive with a two-yard scoring run.

Capistrano Valley got on the board just before halftime when Bryan Peters scored on a three-yard run, capping a 50-yard drive.

The Cougars (2-7, 1-3) picked up where they left off to start the second half, Peters' one-yard touchdown run pulling them within 14-13. The extra point failed.

But Vinson put Dana Hills back in command with a 76-yard touchdown run for a 21-13 lead.

The Dolphins extended the lead to 28-13 when Vinson went in from seven yards with 1:46 remaining in the third quarter.

David Frazeur connected with Jon Hair for a 78-yard touchdown play with nine seconds left in the third quarter, then hit John Kavlich for a two-point conversion to make the score 28-21.

Vinson final touchdown, a 41-yard run in the fourth quarter, put the game out of reach.
