A request for a nightly live entertainment permit at Hennessey's Tavern will be reviewed by the Planning Commission at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The owner of the Main Street establishment wants to offer entertainment from 7 p.m. to midnight.

The last Main Street restaurant or bar to have an entertainment permit was Papillion restaurant at the Hennessey's Tavern site, said Assistant City Planner Mac Cummins. Since Papillion closed in 1998, permits to Main Street establishments have been granted on a special-events basis only.
