His Home Improved, It's Time to Move On

Zachery Ty Bryan, who played Tim Allen's eldest son on the long-running ABC sitcom "Home Improvement," and his family have put their L.A.-area home on the market at just under $2.7 million.

"We're selling because we want to go on to another project," Bryan's mother, Jennifer, said. "It took us about 1 1/2 years to build this home, and my husband and Zack love the process."

Bryan, 19, is a recurring guest star on "Boston Public," the new David E. Kelley series on Fox. He also co-stars with Dennis Hopper in the upcoming movie "Held for Ransom." .

Completed in December 1998, the 5,000-square-foot house has five bedrooms, a studio and a media room. Country French in style, the house also has limestone floors, a circular driveway, three-car garage, pool and spa.

Seth Peterson, who plays Dr. Syd Hansen's hunky rebel brother in the hit NBC drama "Providence," has purchased a restored 1937 Spanish-style home in the Hollywood Hills for $618,000.

Peterson, 30, will live there with his girlfriend, actress Kyle Cochran, 25. They met when she appeared in an episode of "Providence" last year. Peterson has been in such movies as "Godzilla" (1998) and in such TV shows as "Profiler" and "Beverly Hills 90210."

His new home has three bedrooms, a den and a solarium in 2,100 square feet. The house also has a view of Universal Studios, where Peterson's series is filmed.

Donna Rothschild of Re/Max Centre in Encino represented Peterson in his purchase; Richard Winters and Preston Petrosie of Pacific Properties represented the sellers.

Jonathan Davis, lead singer of the rock band Korn, has purchased a San Fernando Valley home for about $1.5 million.

The band, which offers a contemporary-metal blend fused with punk rock and hip-hop, appeared with Metallica and Kid Rock at the L.A. Coliseum in July.

Korn, formed in Bakersfield in 1992 and joined by Davis a year later, has had such top-selling albums as "Issues" and "Follow the Leader." The five-member band also has headlined Lollapalooza and other tours.

Davis bought a four-bedroom home with a spa, gym and detached guest quarters on nearly two acres.
