* Dick Sadai has been named vice president of global business development with Lynx Photonic Networks in Woodland Hills. Sadai joins Lynx after six years with Lucent Technologies.

* Ray Pearl has been promoted to chief executive of the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California's Greater Los Angeles / Ventura County Chapter in Calabasas. He will oversee all chapter operations.

The Building Assn. of Southern California is a nonprofit trade group representing home builders in six counties.

* Bill Gill has been appointed president and chief executive of Facey Medical Foundation in Mission Hills. Gill replaces Dr. H. Steven Aharonian, who resigned after 25 years of service at Facey.

Facey Medical Foundation is a nonprofit management services organization that manages the Facey Medical Group of 110 physicians, eight medical group locations, two eye care centers, three pharmacies and 90,000 managed-care patients.

* Laurie Beja Miller has been promoted to executive vice president of merchandise and creative services for the Disney Store and Disney Direct Marketing in Burbank. She will oversee the creative and marketing functions of the Disney Store. She will continue to be responsible for product development for the store, the store catalog and DisneyStore.com.

The Disney Store is part of the Walt Disney Co.

* Mark L. Beisswanger has been promoted to president of the Ryland Group's west region home building operations in Calabasas. He succeeds Frank J. Scardina, who has left the company. He will continue to play a key role in developing strategy in the region.

Ryland builds and finances homes in 19 markets nationwide.

* Judy E. Pierson has been named vice president of business development for Northridge Hospital Medical Center.

She will be responsible for business planning and marketing for the center's hospitals in Northridge and Van Nuys.

* Uriel Sigala has been promoted to chief technology officer of Film Roman Inc. in North Hollywood. Sigala will lead the technology division. His responsibilities include modernizing the company's technology with the use of emerging technologies.

Film Roman is an independent production company and animation studio.
