The City Council will meet tonight to consider an appeal of the Planning Commission's approval last month of a two-story, 3,800-square-foot office building. City staff members are recommending that the council uphold the commission's approval of the project at 5951 Kellogg Drive.

A gas station and mini-mart had originally been proposed for the site, but that plan was denied by the Planning Commission and City Council in 1997-98. The new proposal, approved Oct. 11 by the commission on a 4-0 vote, was appealed by Councilman Henry Wedaa for consideration by the City Council.

Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 at City Hall, 4845 Casa Loma Ave.
