Women in Nontraditional Employment Roles, an advocacy support group in Long Beach that helps women gain self-sufficiency through high-paying jobs, needs volunteers to answer the phone, assist with office work and tutor in its charter school. Information: (562) 590-2266.

* Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in San Marino needs garden docents. Volunteers will be trained to lead tours through the 150-acre grounds.
