Rasheeda Clark was chosen most valuable player of the Pepperdine Classic after leading the Waves to a 69-68 women's basketball victory over Missouri in the final Sunday.

Pepperdine (4-2) overcame a 10-point, second-half deficit. Damaris Hinojosa, a sophomore from Moorpark High, made a free throw with 42 seconds to play for the winning point.

A Missouri shot with eight seconds to play was blocked by freshman center Shannon Mayberry.

Hinojosa, who scored 12 of her 18 points in the second half, was chosen to the all-tournament team along with Amanda Lassiter of Missouri, Chandi Jones of Houston and Latonya McDole of Kentucky.

Clark, a senior guard, scored 17 points against Missouri.
