Ralph Nader, pop star? Beastie Boy Ad Rock and producer David Was have each created musical tracks incorporating snippets of speeches given by the Green Party's presidential candidate, while producer Hal Willner has done one using remarks about Nader by radio commentator and former Texas Agriculture Commissioner Jim Hightower. The tracks were commissioned by spoken-word impresario Bill Adler, who will submit them to the Nader campaign to be heard via http://www.votenader.org. . . .

Tweaker, the alter ego of former Nine Inch Nails drummer-programmer Chris Vrenna, has signed to the Six Degrees label, with a debut album due in spring. However, tracks he's recorded with rapper Xzibit and rock en espanol act Control Machete will likely be used for a later independent release. Vrenna, who produced the current album by the band Cold, is also finishing the instrumental soundtrack for a new "Alice in Wonderland" computer game.
