In another Foothill League opener:

Hart 45, Burbank 8--Kyle Matter completed 30 of 39 passes for 361 yards and six touchdowns for the Indians (4-2) at Burroughs High.

Matter had scoring passes of 11 and seven yards to Chris Steck, one yard to Evan Allen, 40 yards to Keith Howell, five yards to Kevin Donoho and 16 yards to Jake Norton.

Norton finished with six catches for 77 yards, Donoho had four catches for 74 yards, and Howell had four catches for 70 yards.

Other than Matter, no one attempted a rushing play for Hart until Travis Hetman's one-yard run in the fourth quarter.

The Indians finished with 427 yards, but only 24 on the ground. Matter was sacked five times for minus-30 yards.

The Indians led, 45-0, when Burbank (2-4) scored on a 16-yard pass from Paul Escobar to Roger Starkey midway through the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs committed four turnovers, including three interceptions, and finished with 192 total yards.
