Spray-on Latex Paint Cleans Up Easily

October 15, 2000|From Today's Homeowner

Until the introduction of Krylon's Home Decor Kids Tuff aerosol paints ($3.50 for a 10-ounce can) you couldn't get a latex paint in a spray can. The paint, which comes in 38 colors, cleans up with soap and water, unlike lacquer-based spray paints. An added bonus: The slender can is easy to hold.

Sink Has Four Heights

Because of its tiered design, the Cirque sink ($425 in white; $475 in "linen"; $550 in black) from Porcher can be set into the counter top at one of four heights: 2, 4, 6 or 8 inches above the surface. An integral faucet deck on the rim of the 18 1/2-inch-diameter basin gives you the popular "vessel look" without breaking into the wall above the vanity to run the water-supply line.

Streamlined Microwave

Placing the control panel right on the door rather than next to it slims down this Sharp Platinum microwave ($189.95, Model R-630DS shown) without sacrificing interior oven space. The 1,100-watt, 1.4-cubic foot oven can handle a 9-by-13-inch dish on its 16-inch turntable. In addition to stainless steel, the appliance is available in white and black.

For details contact Sharp,; (800) 237-4277.
