While Nebraska maintained a firm grip on No. 1, Oklahoma moved up five spots to No. 3 in the Associated Press poll after Saturday's victory over Kansas State. It is the highest ranking for the Sooners since 1987.
Virginia Tech is No. 2, Miami fourth and Clemson fifth.
In the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll, the top five are Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Oklahoma and Miami.
