Sandy Baldwin's title as a top administrator for the U.S. Olympic team is chef de mission.

"It's French," Baldwin said. "In Australia, if you say I'm the chef, they say, 'What are you cooking?' "

For the record, the title translates to chief of mission.

APPARENTLY, NO TEAM WANTED TO BE CALLED THE "DUNDEES"

Who are the Opals, the Boomers, the Matildas, the Olyroos and the Kookaburras?

Many of Australia's national teams have nicknames specific to their sports, bringing us the Opals (women's basketball), Boomers (men's basketball), Matildas (women's soccer), Olyroos (men's soccer) and Kookaburras (field hockey.)
