South Pasadena 32, Hoover 13--The Tigers (1-1) scored on their first three possessions to take a 17-0 lead en route to a victory at South Pasadena.

Rick Arguleles opened the game with a 35-yard run into Hoover territory. He powered the ball across the goal line on a two-yard run to cap a 12-play, 80-yard drive.

The Tornadoes (0-2) cut the lead to 17-6 at halftime, but South Pasadena scored 15 points in the third quarter.

Hoover was led by Armond Esmaili, who rushed for 86 yards in 21 carries. Esmaili scored on a three-yard run in the fourth quarter.

Cerritos Valley Christian 27, Kilpatrick 18--Joseph Harris rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns in 14 carries for Kilpatrick (0-2) at Valley Christian.

Harris scored on runs of 88 and five yards.

Ryan Jones rushed for 65 yards, including a five-yard touchdown, in 19 carries for the Mustangs.
