Pomona scored 41 second-half points to erase a 16-0 halftime deficit and go on to defeat Corona del Mar, 41-22, Friday night at Ganesha High.

Quarterback Odell Howard completed 14 of 22 passes for 242 yards and four touchdowns, and running back Eric Shyne rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns as the Red Devils' offense completely dominated second-half play en route to their second victory.

After the Sea Kings fairly shut down the Pomona attack in the first half, the Red Devils erupted for four touchdowns in a span of 7 minutes and 44 seconds of the third quarter to take a 27-16 lead.

The Red Devils' defense proved to be dominant as well, as Corona del Mar's offense did not record a first down in the second half and committed three turnovers.

Late in the first quarter, the Sea Kings drove 55 yards in five plays to take a 6-0 lead. The scoring drive was culminated by Tyler McClellan's 21-yard touchdown reception from Joe Barber. Luke Del-Fante kicked a 30-yard field goal to give the Sea Kings a 9-0 lead.

Corona del Mar increased its lead to 16-0 when Matt Moore hauled in a 56-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Hendy. Moore also scored the Sea Kings' final touchdown on a 65-yard pass play from Barber. Moore finished the game with four catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
