Titans' Dyson Injures Knee, Is Lost for Season

Tennessee receiver Kevin Dyson will miss the rest of the season after tearing ligaments in his left knee during practice Wednesday.

Dyson, Tennessee's top receiver through the first two games, hurt the knee in a downfield collision with safety Perry Phenix.

Washington defensive lineman Dana Stubblefield was arrested on charges of assaulting his wife in a dispute about luggage. Stubblefield said he did not hit his wife and she "didn't realize that if the cops were called that I'd have to be taken down." . . . Cleveland punter Chris Gardocki was fined $5,000 by the NFL for obscenely gesturing toward Pittsburgh's bench during Cleveland's 23-20 victory over the Steelers. Gardocki extended a finger after linebacker Joey Porter knocked him to the ground while he was watching a punt sail down field. "If I had to do it over again, I would have done it again," Gardocki said. . . . St. Louis defensive end Kevin Carter was removed from the starting lineup and fined an undisclosed amount after he skipped practice without an excuse. Carter reportedly missed the practice because of the birth of his first child on Tuesday.

Miami receiver Tony Martin and left tackle Richmond Webb will not start Sunday against New England, but might be able to play. Martin is recovering from a sprained left foot and Webb a sprained right knee. . . . Cincinnati defensive end Vaughn Booker and center Rich Braham will miss Sunday's game against Baltimore. Team doctors are still trying to determine why Booker collapsed as he was walking back to the huddle in the fourth quarter of the Bengals' 13-0 loss to Jacksonville last week. Booker has an injury to his right knee that might require surgery. . . . Washington center Cory Raymer re-injured his right knee in practice and his status for Sunday's game against the Giants will be determined today. . . . Dallas receivers Raghib Ismail (hamstring) and Wane McGarity (left ankle sprain) could miss Sunday's game against San Francisco.
