In Brief

Although stream-of-consciousness flows work for Kool Keith, Ghostface Killah and others, they definitely don't for this Wu-Tang Clan associate. On his second album (due Tuesday), the New Yorker raps in his signature disjointed style, but where some of his older material was balanced by guest appearances by more polished rappers and stronger production, he flounders by himself. Most of this 13-cut collection sounds as though it was recorded without much rehearsal.
