For Finger Tapping

April 05, 2001|AARON CURTISS

Tired of fumbling for the stylus on your personal digital assistant? Don't mind looking like a complete dope?

If the answer to both questions is yes, try out Stinger, a mini PDA stylus that slips over your fingertip.

Sold in packs of three for $4.95, the menacing-looking Stinger is basically an adjustable plastic ring with a pointy tip. Don't try scratching your nose with this thing on.

But it works well for mundane PDA functions--particularly those that most people now just use a fingernail for.

So why use a Stinger? Well, it does a much better job on handwriting recognition than a fingernail.
