A woman whose body was found July 4 in a shallow grave overlooking a bluff has been identified as 23-year-old Claudia Flores, authorities said.

Flores had been reported missing from a home in the 1000 block of Windsor Boulevard near Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles on June 12, said LAPD Officer Jason Lee. Flores may have been killed several miles from the 15900 block of Asilomar Boulevard in Pacific Palisades, where she was found, Lee said.

The coroner's office has so far been unable to find the cause of death, Lee said. Anyone with information is asked to call West Los Angeles homicide detectives at (310) 575-8408.
