A U.S. Forest Service ban on snowmobiles took effect at a popular Lake Tahoe winter recreation area, and snowmobilers were unhappy.
"It's unfortunate, but there's not much we can do about it," said Dave Greenleaf of the Mount Rose Snowmobile Alliance, which fought to maintain snowmobile access to Tahoe Meadows.
