Seventh-day Adventist Service

* Senior Pastor William Colburn at Ventura Seventh-day Adventist Church will continue a sermon series today on the life of Abraham. Today's sermon is titled "To Abraham, the Gift of Faith."

Services are held at 10:45 a.m. each Saturday. Bible study for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.

Ojai Valley Adventist Sermon Series

* Pastor David Smith of Ojai Valley Adventist Church will continue a sermon series today, "Your Most Radical Decision." The fifth installment, titled "God's Part and Our Part," explores the theology of salvation.

Services are held at 10:45 a.m. each Saturday and include contemporary and traditional Christian music. Bible study begins at 9:30 a.m.

Church Plans 'Bread of Life' Dinner

* All Saints Episcopal Church in Oxnard will hold a "Bread of Life" dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. today in the parish hall.

On Sunday, a communion worship service will be held at 8 a.m. A Spanish-language worship service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Also, Sunday school classes for children ages 5 to 12 begin at 10:30 a.m.; youth Bible study for junior high and high school students begins at 11 a.m.

Methodists Continue Sermon Series

* The Rev. Rob Calderhead will continue the sermon series "The Church of Jesus Christ: Its Nature and Task" on Sunday at United Methodist Church of Westlake Village. The third installment is entitled "It's Our Job."

Worship services, with music, are at 8, 9 and 10:30 a.m. The Chancel Choir and the Footprints sing at the 10:30 service.

First Presbyterian Services

* Pastor James K. Bain Jr. will deliver the sermon "Help for Life's Storms" at 10 a.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Oxnard. The message will be based on the scriptures Genesis 6:11-15 and 22, and I Corinthians 11:18-29.

'Milestones in Our Lives' to Be Topic

* The Rev. Betty Stapleford will lead a service titled "Milestones in Our Lives" at 10 a.m. Sunday at Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The service will explore "the importance of the 'branching points' in our lives--those times when life takes a different direction and how to maximize their positive impact."

Camarillo Community Church

* Camarillo Community Church holds Sunday worship services at 8, 9, 10:10 and 11:20 a.m. This week's message is "Winning the Gold."

Unity Center Church Service
