In addition to outscoring Santa

Ana Valley by himself, Bigler's 52 points placed him 11th in Orange County for points scored in a single game--the most since the 1990 season. On Friday, Bigler, a senior, scored 41 points in Foothill's victory over Orange.

His pin at 215 pounds clinched the Freeway League title for Troy, which defeated Buena Park, 31-30.

He was named tournament MVP of the upper weights after pinning his opponent in the Garden Grove League finals.

Hayes, a U.S. national youth team member, scored two goals for Foothill, the top-ranked team in Southern Section Division I, as the

California Championships Saturday at Heritage Park. The victory ended the Lancers' 85-game winning streak. Hayes, who was named the most outstanding field player of the tournament, also had two assists.

Duda had 21 points and 14 rebounds in an upset of Edison and 44 points and 17 rebounds in victory over Fountain Valley.

Santa Ana Valley, Basketball

Cruz had 17 points and nine rebounds in a win over Foothill that positioned the Falcons to win their first league title.
