Jewish Federation needs volunteers to staff banks of telephones and assist with food service and other tasks for its fund-raising phone-a-thon Super Sunday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., at three Los Angeles area sites. Information: (323) 761-8319.

* Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women, which provides counseling, support groups and a 24-hour hotline for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and stalking, offers 65 hours of training for crisis-intervention counselors Feb. 21 through April 11 on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays, and 50 hours of training for violence prevention specialists starting Feb. 22 and running on Saturdays, to teach volunteers how to educate the community about violence prevention. * Nissan Open, to be held Saturday through Feb. 25 at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, needs volunteers in a variety of areas including greeting, merchandising, transportation, working with the media and assisting the golfers. Information: (213) 989-2157.

* Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center in Los Angeles, which provides mediation and conflict resolution services, needs volunteers who speak English and an East Asian language to assist in casework, outreach and translating. * Pet Adoption Fund, a dog and cat rescue and adoption group, needs volunteers to assist at its Canoga Park shelter with walking, grooming and playing with the animals and driving them to and from the veterinarian.
