Acoustic Blues

Veteran Santa Barbara acoustic blues duo Tom Ball and Kenny Sultan will come south Saturday for a fund-raiser concert at Happy Valley School's Zalk Theater. Ball has a gruff blues voice and plays a mean harmonica. Sultan is a guitar virtuoso. They perform hilarious, obscure old blues songs, as well as originals. Proceeds will benefit the school's fine arts department.

Presidents Day

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will host its annual Presidents Day fete on Monday with storytelling, music, dancing, presidential look-alikes, food and free admission to the museum. Historical impersonations will include Abigail Adams providing information on life in the 18th century, and Abraham Lincoln delivering his Gettysburg Address.

* Presidents Day Lawn Party; Monday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley. Free. 522-8444.

Local Legend

Famed ceramist Beatrice Wood, who died in 1998, lived to be 105. Her last 50 years were spent creating her art--and furthering her legend as the "Mama of Dada"--in the Ojai Valley. The Ojai Valley Museum is hosting "Beato: The Life and Work of Beatrice Wood," featuring works on loan from the Beatrice Wood Studio and the Happy Valley Foundation collections. The exhibit includes ceramics, drawings, photographs and assorted artifacts, as well as portraits of Wood by photographer Jill Sattler.

* "Beato: The Life and Work of Beatrice Wood"; Wednesday-Friday, 1-4 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; through May 27; Ojai Valley Museum, 130 W. Ojai Ave., Ojai. 640-1390.
