J.A. Adande would like readers to believe in his Jan. 12 column that Marvin Lewis, Baltimore Raven defensive coordinator, is the only deserving coach in the NFL to be overlooked for a head-coaching job. He also writes that "more suspect picks" have been given the opportunity over Lewis, an African American.
Does it matter what color skin a coach has? Do we need to keep a tally? Adande thinks so, and it is this attitude that is no different than the possibility that Lewis may not be getting a fair shake.
