Chocolate-Free

January 31, 2001

These new mini-chips from Hershey's have a bold cinnamon flavor. They're great in baked goods like muffins, coffeecakes, breads and cookies. We tried the Oatmeal Cinnamon Chips cookie recipe on the back of the bag and couldn't bake them fast enough for tasters in the Times Test Kitchen. One taster said she would put a bowl of the chips out for snacks. They'd also be great stirred into ice cream or sprinkled over the top.

10-ounce bag Cinnamon Chips, $2.89, at major grocery stores.
