Natasha Duncan, a plus-size model who had appeared in Seventeen, Mode and other magazines, apparently committed suicide by stabbing herself several times in the neck, police said.
Duncan, 21, slashed her throat with a kitchen knife Saturday in her New York City apartment, according to police.
Duncan's roommate, fellow model Johanna Edelberg, told police they were smoking marijuana when she went to listen to music in another room. When she returned to the kitchen, she found Duncan's body, police said.
Duncan's family reportedly told police she had been depressed. She did not leave a suicide note.
