Say 'Aaah'

The Dark Side of Girl Scout Cookies

March 05, 2001

Who hasn't gotten carried away eating a box of Thin Mints? Or promised to stop after "just one more" Do-si-do?

It's understandable. Girl Scout cookies seem wholesome. Plus, they're for a good cause.

But before you rip into another box, or partake of a colleague's already-opened package, you should know that those sweet little cookies pack a big punch. The calories and fat grams (and the recommended daily value of fat) can add up more quickly than you may think.

Keep in mind, these numbers are per cookie, not per serving. (On the plus side, they are cholesterol-free. . . . Maybe just one more.)
