Kilpatrick will try to do what most teams have been unable to do the last two seasons--defeat Price in the playoffs.

The Mustangs (27-2) rebounded from a loss in the Southern Section Division V-AA final to defeat Solano Beach Santa Fe Christian, 89-74, on Tuesday in a Division V regional opener.

Keilon Fortune, who made only six of 31 shots and scored 19 points in the loss, found his shooting touch for 34 points Tuesday.

Javier Dena had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

"We played a lot better than Saturday night," said Coach Alvin Brown, whose team used a full-court press to outscore Santa Fe Christian, 20-8, in the third quarter.
