Los Angeles. National Corvette Restorers Society judged meet for 1953-82 models and "sportsman show" for all club members' cars. About two dozen 'Vettes on display on the top floor of the Petersen Automotive Museum parking structure. Admission free with general museum admission. 6060 Wilshire Blvd. at Fairfax Avenue. Huntington Beach. Beach cruisers--woodie wagons, VW Transporters, Chevy Nomads and other vehicles popular with the surfing crowd--will be on display at the annual Wavecrest Beach Cruiser Meet. Main Street between Pacific Coast Highway and Orange Avenue, beginning at 7 a.m. Admission is free. $20 entry fee for contestants on day of meet, $12 for early registration. Irwindale. NASCAR's 2001 racing season comes to Irwindale Speedway with a 100-lap Super Late-Model Race as well as events for Grand American Modifieds, Super Stocks and Mechanix Wear Speed Trucks. Beverly Hills. Annual "Classics for Charity" car show, hosted by Beverly Hills Ltd. Mercedes-Benz. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 250 antique and classic cars, including exotic hot rods, race cars, custom motorcycles and vehicles owned by Hollywood stars. Admission $10.
