Chatsworth 6, Cleveland 0--Justin Cassel pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks for the Chancellors (10-0, 2-0) in a West Valley League game at Chatsworth.

Cassel (3-0) took a no-hitter through 6 1/3 innings, yielding a double to Robert Marcial on an 0-2 pitch. Byron Grubman singled with two out in the seventh for Cleveland (7-3, 0-2).

Gregg Wallis had two hits and three runs batted in.

HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL

Crescenta Valley 3, Canyon 0--Kaycee Crownover was three for three with an RBI and two runs for the Falcons (6-1) in a nonleague game at Montrose Park in La Crescenta.

Meredith Cervenka (6-1) pitched a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts for Crescenta Valley.

COLLEGE BASEBALL

Glendale 5, Citrus 2--John Manuel had two doubles, an RBI and scored a run, and the Vaqueros (17-3, 8-2) moved into first place in the Western State Conference Southern Division at Citrus.

Kevin Welch (5-1) allowed five hits with seven strikeouts in eight innings.

BOYS' TENNIS

El Camino Real 5, Granada Hills 2--Matt Jones and James Magsino each won in straight sets for the defending City Section-champion Conquistadores (6-0, 3-0) in a West Valley League match at Granada Hills (5-1, 2-1) that was a rematch of last year's City final.
